Mr. Smoke is a figure suspended between control and dissolution.

Through masks, gestures, and repetition, the serie explores identity as role, strategy, and surface. The gaze is ever-present — observing, restrained, and distant. Smoke marks time, pause, and absence.

Mr. Smoke is not a portrait, but a state of being.

Mr. Smoke serie originated during my studies in the UK and has since remained a recurring figure in my artistic practice. The titles draw from music - fragments of songs that echo the mood of the works.
